The Canadian Apprenticeship Foundation (the Foundation) is a registered charity approved to operate in Canada. It was created by the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum in order to meet the needs of apprentices in Canada who face systemic and financial barriers to apprenticeship completion and advancement. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and its policies reflect the regulations and requirements of the Act.
The Canadian Apprenticeship Foundation provides professional development and training programs to apprentices from equity priority groups to assist them in progressing in to leadership or entrepreneurial roles. Through a bursary program it also provides funding for apprentices from equity priority groups to access professional development that may require travel or accommodation.

To advance opportunity, equity, and leadership in Canada’s skilled trades through charitable giving.

For 25 years, the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF-FCA) has been Canada’s national voice for apprenticeship. The Foundation builds on this legacy by enabling donors to directly invest in people—breaking down barriers and building a more inclusive trades workforce.

Canada is a place where there is equitable access to apprenticeship training and advancement.
